Abstract

The article is based on memories of the impressions that the appearance of the first Doctor of Science in the history of the Ivano-Frankivsk State Pedagogical Institute (now the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University) Mark Teplinsky caused in students. The idea of the need to preserve and develop those promising trends that are personified by the figure of Professor M. Teplinsky and those who contributed to the formation of the modern Precarpathian National University with their work is substantiated.
