The first issue of " Newsletter Precarpathian University. Political science"consists of articles written during 2004-2005 by lectures and post-graduate students of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, researchers of the Precarpathian Center for Political and European Integration Studies, other educational institutions and research institutions of Ukraine.

The scientific author’s broadmindedness caused a topicality of the works given to the reader’s view. A number of studies are devoted to fundamental issues of political science, including the theory and practice of democracy, political and civic values, state-church relations, history and theory of political parties, ethnic and gender policy, political ideology, and European integration.
