The energy potential of Ukraine

The article determines the relevance of research energy potential of Ukraine in terms of major branches of the sector. Sample data for analysis are defined. The positive and negative factors influencing the formation and development of the fuel and energy potential of the state are analyzed and summarized. The following indicators for the analysis of the energy sector: statistics on energy imports and exports, total capacity of national gas storage facilities,
length and capacity of main energy routes, gross energy production, indicators of overall renewable energy development potential.are chosen.
The analyzed period is 2015-2019 (annual data). Correlation relations between indicators are analyzed. A reverse-proportional relationship between the geographical- resource potential of the state and the level of production is determined. The analysis formed the appropriate conclusions, in particular, it is determined that Ukraine's energy sector reaffirms its adaptability and readiness for rehabilitation and reforms.
