Ukrainians’ migration to Poland as a component of bilateral relations

Abstract

Due to the worsening of economic situation in Ukraine, caused by Russia's actions, the migration of Ukrainians to the West has become more intense, visible and at the same time an important element of foreign policy. The most intensive working migration of different lengths
takes place in Poland.
This is primarily due to geographical proximity, which guarantees mobility, as well as language and cultural similarities. Since 2016, the position of the Polish government regarding the weakened Ukraine has changed in the direction of deteriorating bilateral relations and increasing social tension.
The article presents an analysis of the Ukrainians’ migration to Poland and it impact to the political situation over the past 9 years.
