Abstract

Globalization process has been rapidly changing the world around us and influencing all the spheres of social life, particularly geopolitics which is the most important trend of the 21st century. The most powerful states use it to realize their interests in international affairs, it is vitally important in adopting military doctrines; geopolitics and globalization are the basis for global ideology.
Modern geopolitics is dynamic enough to promptly respond to challenges of global world by means of transforming and absorbing new concepts, trends, factors, etc., areas of its concern include not only politics but also other spheres of human life such as economics, demography, communities, etc.
Geopolitical factors (territory, population, availability of raw material) cannot carry out their basic mission in a constantly changing world, they are not so compelling for the firm establishment of a state, focus and perspectives of their perception and implementation have changed. For example, territorial factor is lower than per capita GDP, population is not so important as its qualities (intellectual level, the number of juveniles, fertility rate, feeling of happiness, tolerance for stress). Representatives of classic geopolitics did not favour education and now it is a fundamental prerequisite for national security of any country. In the future rightsizing of the army and different types of weapons will be significant so far but soldiers’ skills in maintenance of new types of weapons are as relevant as ever (educational level, abilities to fulfill the tasks as a team, psychological component are the key components in such skills formation). Science (science in general and scientists in particular) and technology development of a state is as important as availability of raw material under global objective reality. Artificial intelligence becomes the essential trend of our globalized era and will surely guide further global development. In view of the impact of global changes quantitative characteristics of geopolitical factors have changed into qualitative ones: education, intellectual development, artificial intelligence, etc. And the states neglecting science and technology development will lag behind globalization.
