Socio-Psychological Specificity of Social Mobility of Personality During the Crisis

Abstract

Abstract. Purpose of the study is to identify the socio-psychological specifics of social mobility of the individual in times of crisis. Methods. The study used observation methods, interviews, questionnaires, standardized and projective methods of psychodiagnostics, which revealed the socio-psychological aspects of the life scenario of the subjects and spatial projections of their social mobility; the interrelation of social mobility of the studied with the indicators of competence in time in times of crisis is determined; the parameters of social maturity of respondents and their impact on social mobility were identified; the influence of adaptive resources of the researched on their social mobility in the period of crises is clarified; differentiation of levels of expression of social mobility of respondents in the period of crises is carried out. Results. The resource components of social mobility of the person in the period of crises on levels of its expressiveness are allocated. It was found that social mobility is interrelated with the process of subjective personality formation and has different levels of expression that correlate with key socio-psychological characteristics, which are reflected in indicators of motivational profile, meaningful life orientations, activity, self-determination, self-regulation -strategies, levels of subjective control and social adaptability. It is shown that the subjects with the average (constructive) level of social mobility have the greatest social adaptability, which is characterized by a harmonious motivational profile, predominance of average level of differentiation and homogeneity of professional preferences, future orientation with high meaning acceptance of responsibility, search for social support. Respondents with low social mobility are characterized by a predominance of homogeneous motivation, weak differentiation of professional preferences and their average homogeneity. Focus on the present and the process of life are interrelated with the active use of coping avoidance with pronounced internality in situations of failure. Their adaptive profile is characterized by increased conformity with low rates of lability and creativity. Socially highly mobile subjects are characterized by general externality in combination with externality in the field of achievements and in the field of failures. The peculiarities of social mobility of the studied in the unity of its status, professional and territorial (migration) manifestations are revealed. Comparison of the severity of social mobility in respondents with different types of adaptive resources allowed to identify significant differences in this parameter of psychological organization.
