The article is devoted to the analysis of current state of primary education in Ukraine. The author summarizes the external and internal factors of modernization of primary education. The problem of quality of primary education is considered in relation to the challenges caused by the war in Ukraine. The author emphasizes the need to continue reformation and qualitative transformations in the aspect of the Concept of new Ukrainian school. A significant attention is paid to the problem of education of primary school teachers in modern reality. The importance of primary school teachers' readiness to work in the inclusive education realm is emphasized. The author highlights the problem of national-patriotic education of primary school students.
