Abstract

The article elaborates theoretical and methodological approaches towards developing civic competence in future primary school teachers in the course of teaching Modern Ukrainian Language; the article proposes a system of tasks and exercises promoting the development of civic competence; shows directions in which communication should be conducted during classes in Modern Ukrainian Language to achieve such socio-cultural interaction. Developing civic competence is regarded as an integral part of one's character development, meaning that civic competence is formed on the grounds of integrative learning.
