THE RING OF NASTASIIA «CHAHROVYCH»

Abstract

The article is devoted to a unique archaeological find – a ring with an inscription that attributes it to Nastasiia from the Chahr family, the mistress of the Halych prince Yaroslav Volodymyrkovych named as Osmomysl in «The Tale of Ihor’s Campaign». The paleography of the inscription on the ring and the circumstances of its accidental finding within the borders of the former princely court in Halych testify in favor of the proposed version.
