Abstract

The article deals with the examples of the war literature in Ukraine, to encourage the reader to delve deeper into the diversity of folk art and craftsmanship. The purpose of the article is to highlight the mythological and folklore component in literary texts written during the war, such as Cossack and rebel songs, poems with witchcraft themes and war-related tales and narratives. Research methodology. In the article were applied systematic and historical-literary approaches in order to study the influence of myth and its components on military texts. Research results. In the article are analyzed the influence of myth and oral folk art on the formation of images and plots in modern Ukrainian war literature, based on a comparison of texts written during the current conflict in Ukraine. Scientific novelty. This article is one of the first studies to explore the connection between contemporary and traditional war literature under the influence of mythology and folklore. Practical significance. The materials of the article can be used for scientific and educational purposes for studying the mythological and folklore component in Ukrainian war-related literary texts.
